Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee plans Tax Reform 2.0 at Heritage

On Wednesday, Heritage hosted Texas Representative Kevin Brady, who is the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, to give a talk about tax reform. The Ways and Means Committee is the chief tax-writing committee in the House of Representatives, and have jurisdiction over all taxation.

Chairman Brady and a panel of experts discussed the next steps for tax reform during the talk at Heritage, as well as how to create a culture of reform in Washington. Many of the tax cuts, especially for individuals, are not yet permanent, and rates can still be cut further to increase economic freedom for Americans everywhere. Last year’s successful tax reform is an excellent example of how these relationships can change America for the better. Congress passed the biggest tax cuts that America had seen for many years, much of which was based on Heritage’s recommendations.
